In March, 2009 the Advance Care Planning in Canada project hosted a National Expert Roundtable. The objectives of the Roundtable were to:

• Engage a broad group of stakeholders in the development of a draft multi-level national framework on advance care planning – including the non-governmental sector, industry and multi-levels of government.

• Advise on the implementation of the framework – including the development of tools for health care professionals and communication strategies to inform stakeholders, policy makers and the public about the national framework and tools for ACP; and

• Identify how stakeholders will be engaged in further development and implementation of the framework.
