Pediatric Award of Excellence

Purpose

  • To recognize an outstanding Canadian who exemplifies personal and/or professional commitment and achievements in the field of pediatric hospice palliative care
  • To publicly communicate and highlight exemplary efforts in the advancement of pediatric hospice palliative care.

Award Eligibility

An exemplary individual whose excellence is devoted to pediatric hospice palliative care in Canada in either a paid or volunteer capacity. The nominee’s achievements have made a difference in the quality of life for children facing a life threatening illness and their families and or have positively impacted the pediatric hospice palliative care movement in Canada.

Emphasis will be placed on individuals who have made an impact at the national level, those who champion the cause broadly.

The recipient of the Pediatric Award of Excellence must meet all of the selection criteria therefore, it is possible that the award may not be granted in every year.  The award will be given to only one individual in a given year.
