PALLIATIVE CARE TRAINING FOR SUPPORT WORKERS |

Final Report Now Available In 1999, the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association, (formerly the Canadian Palliative Care Association) received funding for this three-year project from the Population Health Fund of Health Canada. The project, which ended in March 2002, has had a significant impact across Canada. Training has been provided to more than 2,100 support workers in five provinces. Approximately 140 experienced health care practitioners have become palliative care instructors for this program.
