Hospice Georgina

More Information

Hospice Georgina supports people living in Georgina and Georgina Island who are coping with a life-limiting illness or experiencing the loss of a loved one.

Hospice helps people live each day of their lives to the fullest extent possible. Our concern is for the person, not the disease. We focus on family and friends, not just the individual, and emphasize the quality of life more than the duration.

"You matter because you are YOU to the last moment of your life, and we will do all we can to help you live fully on your terms."

We are your neighbourhood centre for palliative care support, grief healing and education. Serving Georgina, Georgina Island, Sutton, Keswick, Roche's Point, Willow Beach, Jackson"s Point, Pefferlaw, Udora, and Baldwin.

Our Mission

Hospice Georgina is a caring community of trained volunteers dedicated to providing non-medical emotional, and spiritual support to all people in Georgina with a life threatening illness, and also to their families and caregivers.

What are your admission/referral criteria?

Hospice clients range in age from children to seniors and include their families and caregivers. There is no fee for services and you do not need an OHIP card.

How would you answer the following question if asked by a patient, client, resident and/or family?

“What can you do for me?”

Hospice Georgina staff and volunteers can provide emotional, social and spiritual support to individuals facing life-limiting illness. Well trained Hospice volunteers can help people to continue enjoying what is important in their lives despite health limitations.
