Our Mission

By March 31, 2017, Labrador-Grenfell Health will have, within available resources, improved accessibility to selected health and community services to better meet the needs of people within the region.

What are your admission/referral criteria?

Patients are admitted to the hospital as either elective or emergency admissions. The Admitting Office/Day Surgery arranges elective (non-urgent) admissions on an appointment system. You will be called in order to confirm the date of your admission. In the event of accident or sudden illness, we admit patients via the hospital’s Emergency Department.

Elective patients admitted for surgical operations should arrive at the hospital before 11:00 a.m. This will enable the staff to do all necessary tests and examinations on the first day. If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify the Admitting Office/Day Surgery immediately.
