At Good Shepherd, having Faith in People means seeing and serving all of what makes a person unique and special.

What are your admission/referral criteria?

18 years or older; resident of Hamilton or surrounding area or an immediate family member of a resident of Hamilton; prognosis of 3 months or less; Palliative Performance Scale score of 50% or less; have a need for professional and supportive measures in last stages of life; have a 'Do Not Resuscitate' agreement signed.

Emmanuel House is a 10 bed residential hospice providing individuals and their families with palliative/end-of-life care that will enhance their quality of life, family wellness and provide them a chance to continue to live with dignity without regard to diagnosis, religion, social, ethnic or economic condition. Our palliative care team provides a full range of direct care/ service designed with respect for and commitment to follow the individual’s and/or their families’ choices and decisions.
