Bruce Peninsula Hospice Inc.

More Information

Our Mission

Bruce Peninsula Hospice is committed to providing compassionate, non-medical care by trained volunteers for families who choose end-of-life care and/or bereavement support.

What are your admission/referral criteria?

We accept referrals from family and friends, medical staff, agencies, clergy, long-term care facility personnel, and we accept clients who have received a palliative diagnosis. We also support clients in LTC with chronic disease in the end stages of their disease.

How would you answer the following question if asked by a patient, client, resident and/or family?

“What can you do for me?”

We can provide trained volunteers to offer free non medical support such as companionship, simple comfort measures, back rubs and position changes, bedside or home vigilance while family members rest or are engaged in other activities so the family can feel comfortable in taking time away from the bedside or the home setting. We also provide bereavement and emotional support.
