Our Mission

The Alberni Valley Hospice Society is a registered, non-profit volunteer organization.  Our mission is to provide compassionate, supportive, non-medical care to persons affected by a progressive life threatening illness, death and bereavement and to educate the public about living at the very end of life.

What are your admission/referral criteria?

Anyone may refer, physician, family, friend, self-referral.

How would you answer the following question if asked by a patient, client, resident and/or family?

"What can you do for me?"

We offer skilled, compassionate volunteers, enhance quality of life and help to make a life passage both manageable and meaningful.  We assist you to live fully until the very end of life, with dignity and comfort, surrounded by family and friends.  We provide ongoing bereavement support.
