Excited for Hike for Hospice Palliative Care 2008!!
The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) is very excited to announce the new Hike for Hospice Palliative Care on-line fundraising website which will be launched February 1, 2008!
Participating with an on-line fundraising website is a great way to increase funds and awareness for hospice palliative care.
“Going with an online fundraising tool allowed us to raise the bar of our event and start to compete with larger provincial and national charities. It was easy and we raised an additional $18,000 over our event the previous year by incorporating online fundraising. The best part is that it turns Hike for Hospice Palliative Care into a player on the national level and will bring consistency to our messaging as we have a common point of contact nation

Hike for Hospice Palliative Care 2007 raised approximately $845,000, which is the highest-raising Hike for Hospice Palliative Care to date. With the new on-line fundraising website, raising over one million dollars nationally is possible!!
Hike for Hospice Palliative Care is a major fundraising initiative which benefits hospice palliative care in your communities. This event is unique in that 100% of the funds raised remain in the community in which the Hike occurs.
The purpose of the Hike is not only to raise much needed funds for hospice palliative care in Canada, but also to raise awareness regarding hospice palliative care, and to promote the phenomenal work that all volunteers and professionals in the field conduct.

It is important note, that if 2008 is not the year for your hospice to sign up with the on-line fundraising website you can still register for the 2008 Hike Hospice Palliative Care with CHPCA and you will receive the pledge form electronically including all of the other Hike resources.
If you are signing up for the on-line fundraising website you will also have access to all of the electronic pledge forms for the Hike.
